Abstract
The founders have depots in the principal ports of Cornwall and Devonshire, where the ore is stored. It is transported to Swansea in vessels of 100 to 150 tons, which draw very little water, so that they can discharge their cargoes at all states of the tide in the yards of the companies, which are nearly all situated on the edge of the river.
