Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate statistically the re lationships between personal variables which distinguish between female juvenile recidivists and nonrecidivists. From data obtained solely from institutional records, 104 variables were selected on the basis of availability and objectivity. The 210 subjects of this study consisted of 105 recidivists and 105 nonrecidivists from an Ohio girls' training school. Results suggest that early age at the onset of delinquency, less formal education, and family relation ships are significantly associated with recidivism among girls.
