Abstract
The JUSSIM model is an interactive computer program for which an accompanying data file describes the flow diagram of a criminal justice system, the branching ratios of the flow between stages, the resources consumed, and the costs and workloads. This model was implemented to help develop a plan for a local criminal justice planning agency. The paper reports on the experiences in collecting the relevant data, the analyses performed with the model, and the usefulness of the model for the decision makers in the planning agency.
