Abstract
The Model Community Correctional Program is a two-year planning project funded by the Law Enforcement Assistance Administration. It uses the "systems approach" to identify and evaluate the roles of the many public and private agencies which affect or "interface" with correctional agencies. The project goal is to involve community agencies in evaluation and planning activity in order to develop support for action programs. The results so far are highly encouraging, defining a much needed place for action research in local government.
