Abstract
A group of 100 adjudged juvenile delinquents, between the ages of twelve and seventeen, were rated on the Kvaraceus Delin quency Proneness Check List and the Glueck Social Prediction Table. Material was obtained from the records of the Santa Clara County (Calif.) Juvenile Probation Department. The scores on the check list were compared with the scores on the table. A correlation of .70, significant at the .01 level, was found. Neither instrument diagnosed delinquency at the expected level. Although case records used were as complete as most available, a shortage of adequate data was noted for many of the cases, insofar as material required by those measuring devices was concerned.
