Abstract
Speculates on the meaning and making of soul within a contemporary ethos, drawing especially on current scientific understandings as they intertwine with biblical and religious understandings. Suggests that the richness of the notion of soul stands in danger of being adulterated by certain trends in technology and by political tyranny.
