Abstract
Proposes that the martial discipline aikido offers a unique opportunity to nurture spirit through the sublimation of aggression. Examines the spiritual dimension unique to aikido among the martial arts, identfies its relgous aspects, and, through a case presentaton, descrbes the psychodynamc value offered by the dscplne.
