Abstract
Discusses the meanings of confidentiality generally and particularly within the context of the helping professions. Notes the legal nuances of the concept of “religious privilege.” Illustrates, via several cases, liability within confidentiality, concluding by urging caregivers to become familiar with local and state statutes regulating the religious privilege.
