Abstract
When the Summer 1989 issue of The Journal of Pastoral Care arrived, an article by Herbert Anderson caught my eye (“After the Diagnosis: An Operational Theology for the Terminally Ill”). After reading the piece, struggling with it, finding that much of it was on target with my own experiences, I decided to write my response to it. Thus this article.
