Abstract
Describes four Hispanic groups, along with their common values and characteristics. Notes the roles of family, religion, and personality in the lives of Hispanic men and women. Identifies the typical precipitating events which lead Hispanics into counseling and indicates why knowledge of Hispanic culture and languages are necessary requirements for those who wish to contribute to the health and welfare of one of America's largest minority groups.
