Abstract
Explores meanings and values of marriage in scriptural and theological ways, noting particularly how marriage dramatizes theological themes. Draws attention to five specific issues generated by the approach and concludes that such an understanding of marriage provides opportunities to blend measurement efforts so that religion and marriage may be viewed as a way in which two persons can become a corporate unit for the benefit of children, careers, community, and the church.
