Expands and illustrates the thesis that Seward Hiltner's most revolutionary contribution to the theological enterprise was his conviction that pastoral practice can inform, expand, and correct theological reflection and psychological formulations. Provides personal reflections on the ways this major thesis has informed the author's doing and being as parish pastor.
