Abstract
Presents a model of covenanting within a parish setting, basing it on a biblical and theological understanding of covenant and on an appreciation of the psychoanalytic notions of transference and countertransference. Discusses how the pastoral home visit may provide a context for the covenating and outlines stages of such a process. Briefly notes implications fo bbr pastoral home visitation.
