Abstract
Claims that the principle of “level and equal” relative to gender represents a revolutionary development in our time and that these new relationships between the sexes ought to be celebrated. Places the notion of Aequus (level and equal) in the contexts of Eastern religious thought and in biblical anthropology and suggests that an integration into human consciousness of these notions will allow each couple the freedom to design and evolve a unique relationship shaped only by the values, needs, and the wants of the two persons within the relationship.
