Offers a personal exposition and reflection on how the art of listening was learned from such persons as Russell Dicks, Anton Boisen, Tom Klink, and Fred Kuether. Explicates the listening mode in terms of listening to oneself, to others, to nature, and to God; and claims that the power of a listening ministry is as great today as it was in the early days of Clinical Pastoral Education.
