Abstract
The monumental traffic jam on U. S. streets and highways has sparked a massive program of research in land use, economic data, and travel habits. Current inventories and projections into the future are being organized and recorded in 225 cities across the nation at a cost of about $100 million.
This vast new storehouse of data, with immediate application to marketing, is free for the asking, too.
