Abstract
Despite significant improvements in methodology, many corporate executives are skeptical about the profit contribution being made by marketing research.
Does management fail to appreciate the true value of research? Or have some research practitioners neglected a key part of their responsibilities?
This article identifies a gap between marketing research practice and its profitable application to day-today business problems. The author goes on to suggest an approach for narrowing the gap.
