Abstract
The utilization of the newly improved and expanded St. Lawrence Seaway will occasion major changes in economic activities. It is possible, and indeed has become almost a parlor game, to make differing estimates of the direction and extent of the Seaway's impact.
The one certainty is that there WILL be an impact. This impact will inevitably change marketing prospects, both internal and external to the United States.
As the result of a study recently completed, it is possible to form some estimates of the direction which these changes may take.
