Abstract
Sales forecasting in underdeveloped countries is quite different than in countries with more mature economies. The keys to forecasting in developing countries are an understanding (1) of the phases of economic development that these countries pass through; and (2) of the impact that each phase has upon demand for various classes of products.
The author describes how these phases can be identified and how they affect demand.
