Teaching study skills takes special techniques. This article analyzes the stages of study in terrms of skills neded at each phase. Specific ways to modify instructional activities and to develop study procedurs are presented. For the teacher who accepts the challenging responsibility of hlping learners become students, this article tells both what to teach and how to teach it.
