To identify cognitive process concomitants of reading comprehension, a Structure of Intellect (SOI) interpretation is proposed. The SOI categories in WISC subtests are described, and literature describing WISC subtests discriminating disabled readers is reviewed. Conclusions include a call for research for SOI concomitants of reading comprehension deficits.
