Abstract
There is a wide variety of programs, books, materials and topics this month - something for everyone. Teachers will need Richard Thompson's Energizers for Reading Instruction, while some pediatricians should look into The Teacher's and Doctor's Guide to a Practical Approach to Learning Problems. Speech and language teachers as well as diagnosticians should read the Northwestern Syntax Screening Test by Laura Lee, whose book was reviewed last month. Operations and Spell-N-Meld are two books for LD children who enjoy card games, while Simulations is an extremely valuable activity method that / feel should be adopted by all teachers. Math teachers should examine Math Helper by Hulda Clark, research workers will be interested in Feed-Back Monitors and diagnostic teams will like the breadth and depth of the eleven Wunder-Forms. Program compilers will need the Computational Analysis of Present-day American English for those all-important, frequently used words, while / make good use of it with those Vocabulary Deficient Spanish-Speaking Children of affluent families that / discuss in my own paper.
