Like all human action, sexual acts involve the use of the human body, inviting the illusion that sexual problems are medical problems. Using sex crimes, surrogate motherhood, and the existential dilemmas created by AIDS as topical examples, the author presents a critique of the currently fashionable medicalization of sex.
