The conference in Rust (Austria) on the "Central American Challenge" represented an experimental application, by Carl Rogers and his associates, of the person-centered approach to conflict resolution in an international context. Despite several limiting factors, the outcome of the meeting allows for a cautious optimism regarding the application of this approach to dispute resolution at all levels: intercultural, interracial, and international.
