The Prize is not restricted to any particular age group and will be warded to a scientist who has made a significant contribution to histochemistry and who is still active.
Nominations are requested for the 2000 Pearse Prize to be awarded to a scientist who has made a valuable contribution to the development of histochemical techniques or the application of histochemical methods. Nominations must be accompanied by (1) a letter of recommendation stating the reasons for the nomination supported by two people familiar with the nominee's work; (2) a Curriculum vitae of the nominee including a list of publications; (3) the written consent of the nominee.
The recipient of the Pearse Prize will receive a medal and will be required to deliver The Pearse Prize Lecture, which is planned for inclusion in the program for the International Congress of Histochemistry and Cytochemistry 2000.
