Low levels of X-ray exposure of mouse palatal epithelial cell cultures resulted in increased numbers of chromosomal aberrations. At the lowest level used (1R), aberrations occurred of the type produced by two breaks such as chromatid exchanges, dicentrics, and metacentrics.
