Some properties and the intracellular distribution of inorganic pyrophosphatase in rabbit dental pulp were determined. This enzyme was sensitive to Mg2+, and not inhibited by imidazol and CN- which are inhibitors of alkaline phosphatase. Inorganic pyrophosphatase was found predominantly in the supernatant fraction.
