Fracture surfaces of two-phase acrylic polymers were examined by reflected light microscopy. In two materials, detailed features were observed which resembled ones previously reported for poly (methyl methacrylate). In addition, a granular microstructure was noted. A material that fractured intergranularly had a lower tensile strength than one that fractured transgranularly.
