The concentration of acidic glycosaminoglycans and glycoproteins was determined in gingiva of normal and hypophysectomized rats. Total uronic acids increased 33% in gingiva of treated rats compared with normal rats. This change was due to the increase of both the glycoproteins and the hyaluronic acid fraction.
