The hardening times of an experimental composite material and the gel times of a two-liquid monomer formulation increased with higher concentrations of a stabilizing comonomer (BHM). The compound, BHM (3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxybenzyl methacrylate), polymerized under anaerobic conditions when initiated with 2-cyano-2-propyl radicals.
