Exfoliation rates of deciduous molars and canines of 705 children were determined. Exfoliation of the mandibular canines begins at about the age of seven years, and is followed by exfoliattion of the first and second molars. Maxillary exfoliation begins with the canines and first molars, followed by the second molars. Deciduous canines and molars often are present at the age of ten years.
