Two studies were conducted in rats to investigate fluoride retention from a prenatal supplement and the influence of NaF and NaSn2F5 in prenatal supplements on dental caries. Fluoride retention, provided as NaF, was decreased by 38.2%. Prenatal NaSn2F5 reduced the incidence of dental caries by 80%.
