The sequence of appearance of the cytological and morphological features of oral and tooth differentiation was assessed, relative to general embryological processes, in human embryonic material. The phases considered were as follows: potentiality (0-22 days); interaction (23-32 days); and specificity of individual structural formation (32-48 days).
