METABOLISMO DE HYDRATO DE CARBON DE Streptococcus salivarius. II. MESURATIONES MANOMETRIC DEL CONSUMPTION DE OXVGENO SUB VARIE CONDITIONES DE TEMPERATURA, pH, E CONCENTRATION DE SUBSTRATO.—Le objectivo del presente studio esseva obtener datos quantitative relative al metabolismo oxydative de Streptococcus salivarius. Culturas pur, isolate ab le bucca human, esseva mantenite in le medio Trypticase no. 2 durante 18 o 22 horas. Le cellulas esseva recolligite e resuspendite in tampon phosphatic (0,1 N, pH 7,0). Iste suspension esseva usate pro le mesurationes del acceptation de oxygeno.
Sub conditiones acidic e a temperaturas de infra 15 C, le addition de substratos non promoveva le respiration. Le acceptation maximal de oxygeno esseva observate con un pH approximativemente neutre e al temperatura del ambiente. Le concentration de sucro non afficeva le quantitate de oxygeno consumite.
