Abstract
This study investigated the relationship between age, sex, and culture, and the interpretation of social conflicts involving moral and conventional breaches. The similarities and differences among the patterns of social rule discriminations of children and adults, males and females, and Sicilians, Sicilian-Americans, and Americans were assessed for common and differing factors. Aunique feature of this study was that it investigated the impact of moving from one culture to another on patterns of understanding and resolving social conflicts.
