The sequence of fatigue damage accumulation in silicon carbide fiber reinforced alumi num plates with circular holes and the essence of the notch endurance limit of this com posite are analyzed. The affects of specimen size and hole aspect ratio on the fatigue life of these plates are discussed and rationalized.
