Abstract
This paper presents the dynamic analysis and also serves as a design guide for the eccentncally stiffened laminates. Natural frequencies are ob tained in the course of simultaneous solution of equations of motion of the plate segments and stiffeners, and the related displacement compatibilities.
Three typical cases are investigated for the frequency behavior as re lated to the stiffener depth or eccentricity and spacing. Results are con sistent with classical lamination theory when unstiffened. As a result of this investigation, vibration response of rectangular laminated panels can be eliminated or reduced by proper stiffener design.
