CantinatJ., La pedagogia di Dio nella Bibbia, Torino, 1964. Treats the pedagogy of God in the Old Testament and that of Christ in the New Testament. F. Luciani's review in Bibbia e Oriente, 1965, p. 225, highlights Cantinat's five salient points: (1) Testimonial procedure, the presentation of the Revelation through a long chain of witnesses; (2) Sensorial procedure, teaching through images, figures literary genres; (3) Stimulatory procedure, recourse to threats and promises; (4) Personal contact procedure, inculcating a sense of the continuous presence of God, to strengthen faith and inspire a feeling of security; (5) Progressive procedure, imparting the Revelation in progressive fashion.
