Abstract
The effect of the rheology of a foam plas tisol during fusion on the resultant properties of the foam produced have been studied. The catalytic effect of eight compounds on the decomposition temperature of azodicarbona mide were studied and correlated to the plas tisol rheology as determined by the Fusion- Viscosity test. Data indicate that decomposi tion of the blowing agent should occur at a temperature greater than the fusion tempera ture to insure uniform cell formation.
