Abstract
Suggestions for résumé construction are often based upon intuition or anecdotal evidence. This paper reports preferences for résumé contentfrom a survey of Fortune 500 Personnel Administrators. The article reviews and summarizes the empirical evidence available on résumé content. Also, the paper outlines unequivocally supported conclusions, and indicates résumé content areas where conflicting findings emerge.
