Abstract
To understand the teaching of business communication in China, it is useful to have a broad view of the political and educational context in which instruction occurs. This article, which is based on direct observation during an ABCA educational exchange and secondary research, offers a perspective on English business communication courses in China which supplements the 1983 Journal article, "Business Communication in the People's Republic of China."
