Abstract
This study presents the results of an analysis of 268 separate writing courses offered by 123 business, industrial, and government organiza tions. Business communicators at all levels can benefit from knowing the characteristics of various types of writing courses, the methods used by organizations to calculate the costs of offering these courses, and the views of training managers about the success and future of in-house training in effective writing.
