Abstract
Bicentennial communicators should look closely at the design of their research efforts with external as well as internal validity in mind. The scientific method, its use in the design of socio-communication studies, theory/experiment interrelationships, types of experimental designs, and pertinent points to consider in each area should help ABCA researchers conduct more meaningful studies in the years ahead. This article attempts to conceptualize these needed research concepts.
