Abstract
This article examines management techniques employed in the transfer of the production know-how of a sophisticated piece of electronic and electro-mechanical equipment. The transfer program included factories in the U.S., in Canada, and in European NATO Nations. Two concep tual models were established. One explores the influence of two main variables on 12 dependent variables, and the other deals with the influ ence of two major and two minor variables on the management tech niques used in the transfers. The findings lead to concrete recommen dations regarding the two main variables and the management tech niques that will positively influence the quality of a technology trans fer.
