Abstract
What is the status of "organizational communication" in colleges of business? This article presents some results of a 1974 informal study to determine if a trend was discernible in colleges of business at the undergraduate level away from traditional writing courses toward a more theoretical organizational communication course.
No discernible trend was evident in the number of new courses of an organizational nature being offered; however, there does appear an emerging need among communi cation professors for such a course in the future. This article proposes a "model" organizational communication content format.
