It is the purpose of this article to identify the key influences of Cheikh Anta Diop on the work of Haki Madhubuti and Malcolm X. To make this analysis the article begins with an appropriate review of the work of Cheikh Anta Diop and then demonstrates how ideas and concepts in the Diopian project are related to the political work of Malcolm and the artistic work of Madhubuti.
