The Trinity and the Church: Explorations in Ecclesiology from a Trinitarian Perspective

Abstract

Renewed interest in Trinitarian theology in recent times has led explorations in ecclesiology from an explicitly Trinitarian perspective. Yet, these explorations vary dramatically in their conclusions regarding Church structure and organization. Indeed, these applications bear such close correspondence to the ecclesial traditions or understandings from which the theologians themselves come that one must doubt that the Trinity really is the determining feature. This article examines the methodologies employed and their limitations.
