Abstract
The author diseases what Paul probably understood by a Christian sharing in the death of Christ. Paul's admonition to walk according to the Spirit involves participation in the life of the risen Christ, which presupposes sharing in the dying Jesus sacramentally and existentially. The continual dying of Jesus in the believer sheds interesting light on the meaning of suffering in everyday life.
