The daily Journal of the United Nations for Monday, 13 March, 1967 carried the following announcement :
Commission for Social Development : 427th meeting
The representative of the Secretary-General (on Friday, 10 March) made a statement to the Commission on the death of Miss Ruth Williams, representative of the International Conference on Social Welfare; statements were also made by the representatives of the United States, the United Kingdom, the Philippines, France and Canada, and by the Secretary-General of the International Association of Schools of Social Work. On behalf of the Commission, the Chairman expressed sympathy to the family and associates of Miss Williams.
