Abstract
The article presents a comprehensive examination of the relationship between regional disparities and life satisfaction of female social workers, utilizing the 2019 China Social Work Longitudinal Study (CSWLS). Variations in social work development throughout China stem from systemic factors, including state economic policies, the structural gap between urban and rural areas, and uneven regional growth patterns. It investigates how regional disparities, as a geographical variable, contribute to this phenomenon. The current research reveals that life satisfaction exhibits regional heterogeneity, which is often obscured by a ‘one-size-fits-all’ research paradigm.
